Camp Rolling Hills Performance

Oh. My. God. I almost forgot to write about the performance this weekend. Where is my brain?

Friday night was our staged reading of Camp Rolling Hills. Aside from a few bumps in the road, I think the show went really well. We were packed and I think we actually had to turn people away because the performance space was so full. Everyone seemed to really enjoy it and I can’t wait to see what the next step is for this material.

My long day recap

You guys got to see my first couple of posts. I was downtown by 8am and sat in the holding room. We got our wardrobe checked and they gave me a fun little tie, because I didn’t have one. We continued to sit (doing background work involves a LOT of sitting around waiting) After a couple of hours, we went to set. We were playing high school students at a homecoming dance.

In the last photo in that gallery, if you click on it and make it big, you can see the stars shooting a scene in the far end of the gym.

The homecoming dance is a significant part of the episode from what I can tell, and we did a lot of shooting. The stars of Cupid, Bobby Carnivale and Sarah Paulson (who I LOVE…If you’ve never watched the movie, Down With Love, DO IT!!!!) were there for pretty much the whole day. I got to say hi to Sarah and both of them were very nice to the extras. I got plucked out of the group to do a little featured bit. There are 3 guys that are standing around eyeing up one of the characters in the show and we’ll get a little bit of screen time. Unlike the episode of Law & Order that I did, you’ll actually get to see me and identify me easily this time.

It was a very, very, very long day, but we plowed thru and I think it’ll look good. I do some dancing right behind the stars in what I think will be the last shot of the episode, so you might be able to see me on the wide shots.

Fun times!

I Found Myself on Law & Order

It’s been, like, 3 months since the episode aired, but I finally went on iTunes and bought the Law & Order: Criminal Intent episode that I was in.

When I say that I was in it, that’s being quite generous. I was background and from the way the shoot went, I doubted I was in any of the shots at all. I paid the extra buck on iTunes to buy the HD version in case I was difficult to see. It’s a very minor scene in the story, and it’s towards the end, but sure enough…I was in it. You can barely see me, but you can see me.

What? You can’t see me? Well, look at the table with all the blonde women at it right there in the front. Now, see how there’s a gap between the leftmost and center women? Look up and you can see me way in the background. P.S. the girl with the red hair that’s even closer to the camera sitting at the table with that old man is my friend Jenny Paul. I’ve done a couple of extra jobs with her. She got a way better seat than me.

Here’s a closeup.

Look at how amazed I am at the magic show. That’s some damn fine acting, if I do say so myself.
